Hello Ian

I’m writing, as I promised I would, to thank you for all your assistance from which I benefited when ordering an oak staircase from you for our house in France, of which I took delivery at the beginning of November. I have only good things to say every aspect of the product and advice. Every stage of the process, from ordering to supply and installing it myself. As an amateur with no previous experience of staircase construction I was able to install the product on my own (I’m 73) with only minimal assistance necessary, which my wife was able to provide.

The quality of the oak used in the construction is excellent and all materials match in quality, colour and grain. The online installation guide and videos were a great help, they’re of a general nature but forward thinking, careful planning and a dry fit at every stage before final fixing saw the product successfully installed and it fitted the space available perfectly and provides for comfortable use in circumstances of very limited head room (even though I’m 6ft) I’m. I found it necessary to drill through the dowel holes and to modify some of the newel post due to the restrictions of the building but the accessories supplied have hidden those modifications and if I say so myself it looks like a professional fit.

It’s not a grand staircase but it’s oak and glass and I fitted it. I followed instruction regarding the glue recommended and left it 24 hours before using the stairs. There are no clicks or creaks and I’m delighted with it. Thank you Ian for all your help in getting the order right and thank you Stairbox for the finished product, a great product at a great price when compared with quotes from other suppliers
