Galloway House Oak and Glass Staircase

Galloway House Oak and Glass Staircase

This case study focuses on a stunning staircase for a new build property in the Wirral for the happy couple Mr. and Mrs. Wetherell. Ordered through StairBox and fitted by Hygge (Passivhaus) Limited in April/May 2017.

Mr. and Mrs. Wetherell had ambitions to build a stunning staircase and balustrades for the first-floor landing using Oak and Glass in their new property. The original plan was to have a single straight run, but whilst the angle complied with building regulations, it was too steep, so they decided to have a half landing with a 180-degree turn, which in the couples opinion had actually proved better!

They visited a couple of staircase manufacturers and were surprised at their high costs. After seeing a recommendation for StairBox in one of the national Homebuilding magazines, they decided to make contact.

Mr. and Mrs. Wetherell used the Online StairBuilder® to figure out pricing and to help order their staircase. However, the design turned out to be quite complex so some advice was needed.

They took advantage of the option to contact the technical team to help with their staircase and got in touch with one of our top technical advisers Andrew Daily who helped them achieve what they wanted.

This staircase is in Oak and Glass with a half landing and first-floor landing featuring glass balustrades – all StairBox staircases are available in bespoke sizes with delivery in 7-10 working days.

Mr and Mrs Wetherell said, “When the Staircase arrived, it was 9cms short, but you were able to correct the build in one week, which we found very impressive!”
